A 13 year old boy named Matthew on his weekend was so excited to play with his friends. His dad then said to take out the three trash bags that he he had to do every week. After he was done and went back inside he then had to clean up the dogs waste out in the backyard. When he was done he thought he had a chance to play but his dad made him help on mowing the lawn. The boy had to throw bags after bags of cut grass.the boy said”It felt like hours helping my dad.”The time was around 12:00 and the boy had to eat lunch. When he was done he said he felt relief to be done but then his dad told him to brush the floors because the dog was making it dirty. It was then around 12:30 to 1:00 pm and his dad then told him to do the laundry so he was starting to get frustrated at his dad for making him do all these chores.
When he was done Matthew finally played with his friends for a few minutes until his mother told him to deliver something to his grandmother. The walk was about ten to fifteen minutes, depends on if u run or walk. While he was walking to his grandmothers house he said to himself”I am so mad right now I never get to play with my friends on the weekend.”When he got home he was so exhausted from running back from his grandmother's house. He then just wanted to relax instead of playing with his friends. His dad then told him to do the laundry again and put on the bed sheets, pillow sheets, blankets on every bed. After he was done and his dad said he was done his sister wanted to go to her grandmothers house and all of them had to go.At the end Matthew played with his friends for about an hour before they left because every Sunday they had to visit their grandma.
This is a lesson to all parents that kids need their weekends and that's what its meant for.Not for the kids to have time for their chores. The kids can do it later like on the afternoon on school days. Also adults/parents should do some of those stuff on their own like doing laundry.
I liked how you used a lot of detail .I agree with you ,We should be able to do what we want on the weekends and do are chores during the school nights .Nice Job.
