Forcing others in a religion is wrong
Many people force others into a religion and don’t see anything wrong with it. A reporter, Nick King, says he thinks that there are many things wrong with it. He has recently experienced it with his cousins who were forced into Christianity. They didn’t care for it at first, but soon they started to enjoy it. Nick says that even though they don’t care now, they shouldn’t have been forced into a religion in the first place. This has happened to other people as well, but they weren’t all like this reporters cousins. They could probably of been in a religion for a couple of years or longer and still don’t like, but can’t get out of it because their parents won’t let them. “We should listen to our parents for most things, but this we shouldn’t have to listen to,” Nick says. “I think parents don’t understand freedom of religion”, The reporter says that parents shouldn’t think that they have the choice to pick every single way how we live our life, we should be able to at least pick some ways how to live and what to believe.”There are many other important things that we should be able to do, but I think that this is one of the most important,” Nick says. When this reporter’s cousins were forced into a Christianity, they didn’t mind too much. Then later, they started getting annoying by it. “Why do we have to pray for 10 minutes for each meal?”, one would ask. They would start to believe that Jesus is real because of their mom, and start wondering why some people don’t believe in Jesus. Now because they were forced into a religion, they won’t do too good when grown and on their own because they believe that if someone says “I swear to God” in their sentence, they will believe them, no matter who it is. This reporters cousins aren’t doing too good in school or anything because they believe that they don’t need to work hard, and Jesus will just do all of the work for them because they pray. Nick says that he believes these are reasons why not to force your kid into a religion, because sometimes they might not understand all of the way.
