PCS First G-DAY 2014-2015

This just in PCS has just had their first G-DAY of the year. The whole school came down to the court yard to have their Fall Peace Rally. They announced the Tight 20 and the Tinny 10. Then people went on the stage to sing songs. People were amazed when a boy named Sasha came on the stage and started playing the guitar. "DAAAAANG!!!", said a student, "That came out of nowhere". Some students and teachers clapped to the beat of the songs. After the Peace Rally every student and teacher went back to their class rooms. Then students were dismissed by grade level to meet with their field day families. After introducing themselves, they did some activities, lunch together, and talked to each other. When field day family meeting was over students were dismissed to go back to their home base classroom. They first called for 8th grade and kindergartners to go back to their classrooms because they wanted to make sure that the kindergartners got to their classrooms without getting lost, so 8th graders helped them. When every one was in their classrooms, the whole middle went to the gym for an assembly. Sixth grade sat in the front rows, seventh grade sat in the middle rows, and eighth grade sat in the back rows. Eighth grade had their first challenge day of the school year after they had a lot a free time, after the assembly. When they were separated into their groups, they did 3 activities. The first activity was where you had to write down a question on a piece of paper, ball it up, throw it in the circle, grab one that is not yours, and read and answer the question out loud. The next activity was building a pyramid with six cups, using no hands, but four strings tied to a rudder band. The last activity was building cards. Each group had to work together to use all 54 cards to build a card building. After 8th grade challenge day every 8th grader packed up, had more free time, and were dismissed to go home. Everyone was excited for the weekend.

  1. this is very true and very interesting to see that 8th grade would have all that free time and actually getting a break and just do fun stuff for the day and meet new people
