Everyday after school teens come home to play violent games like Grand Theft Auto, Call Of Duty and much more. Kids should be more focussed on school and relationships with friends and family. People think it's okay for young minds to be exposed to this kind of behavior and not really understanding the long term affects on gaming.
There are so many different changes in a teens attitude already. Adding violent video games to our still developing personality and minds can leave a dramatic affect on us. People who develop a gaming habit tend to be more aggressive. For example, my cousins. I love them to death but they are terrible about making good decisions. Every time I see them that's what they're doing...playing video games. I can see it has influenced them a lot. I hear them making comments about wanting to harm someone like how they see in GTA. That's not okay! Their personalities are brutal and rude. I have to admit that not all of that aggressive behavior is from video games but if they haven't of started playing I could see them as much better people.
Yes video games can be fun and entertaining to kids but there has to be some restrictions on them. Like how long they can play the game for. If there isn't any boundaries than teens get carried away. Forgetting to do their homework, not socializing, even affecting how much sleep they get at night. The games can prevent them from doing all of these things. If they stay up half the night playing video games than they won't be able to stay awake during school. How are they going to get any learning in if they can't concentrate?
Violent gaming is bad for kids and I don't think anything will change these thoughts.
