Video Games Are NOT Okay

Alot of people know I am not a game freak, and I barely play video games, but I will sit down and play a game or two every once in a while, but I am not a gamer. My male cousins are extreme game people and they’re not that so clever, So you might think that the reason I don’t speak in defense of gaming is that i don’t really like gaming.

I think that video games are not good at all, especially the violent ones such as GTA, Call Of Duty , Modern warfare and many more. I think this because video games now have a lot of inappropriate things like having sex, prostitutes, people murdering others, strip clubs, and gang bangers . Study’s say that students who play video games all day long tend to stay up longer JUST to play these games rather than do their own homework. I believe that kids should be playing board games and they should ban violent video games that don’t teach kids anything.

I believe that role playing games are also as violent, such as in  High-Jinks: Shoot out there are kids pretending to hurt each other and couples going against each other, friends going against each other. This could hurt people’s relationships with their peers and boyfriend or girlfriend. Also this game is causing parents to stress. One parent even said she was getting ticked off. This is also causing kids to already make poor decisions like sneaking out at 10:30 pm and going to walgreens with their water pistols.

Others think that videogames are ok to play to a certain extent and that video games teach you what to do in a real life situation which i understand but i also believe that they are not ok especially to younger kids who watch older kids play then they wanna play along with the big kids and now the little kids are playing and now the games got them walking around saying bad words because they think that it is ok and cool to say because the game is saying it and with role playing they think its ok because they’re just acting.

With all this being said i believe that students or adults should not be able to play violent video games and/or role playing games. I think that violent video games should be banned and more educational video games or physical games should be out so that people would get off of there bottoms and or go outside more.
