Achieving Your Goal
Thursday,September 26,2014 was G-Day for all of the children at PCS. G-Day was a day where there was a theme and everything they did had to do with theme. This G-Day theme was GOALS. Students had to make goals and figure out how to achieve them. One big activity that PCS did with their Middle School children was have, " Challenge Day," A day where one grade level 6-8 get together and do activities that has to do with the theme ( in this case Goals ) . With challenge day for 8th grade they got into small groups with an adult, two students from Tight 20, and about five 8th grade students. In the group, there was a game they played where the strategy was to stack cups on top of each other with only one rubber band, four strings and six cups, NO HANDS ! One student by the name of Adja Lemons quoted, " It was very hard and frustrating but we had a goal that we had to achieve one way or another, hard or not, if you keep trying and putting in your best work, be patient, and always try, you'll get there and reach your goal."
