Adultism ( kayla heilig )
Adults these days expect our generation to respect them but they don't respect us. The older generation is like the capulets and the montagues. An example when older people are walking out of somewhere slowly, we don't yell at them to hurry up we may huff but we don't rush them. Also if someone holds the do for them sometimes they don't say “ thank you” at bingo halls. They also yell at us with angry red faces but what if we are doing something they don't like but what if what we are doing could help them or the world soon. The older generation also expects us to do everything for them and if we do it wrong they don't say thanks for trying they yell/scream mean things about our generation like “ you're ruining this world and your generation is lazy”. Our generation is probably not respecting elders because they figure nothing they do will make the older generation happy. This reporter who found herself in the middle figured that the older generation wouldn't like the younger generation. But the reporter still wanted to be respectful because she enjoyed seeing the older generation happy and to hopefully show that a lot of the younger generation does respect them. Another reporter just said adults always think they are right just because they have more experience than us. “ your wrong because your just a kid and im the parent/ adult” is what the older generation would say. As for another reporter said she experienced adultism by the older generation treating the younger generation younger than their generation. She also said her cousin gave her a lollipop and to play with the younger kids
I agree with this and I like how you described the adults.
