September 16, 2014, around 2 0' clock in the afternoon, PCS eighth graders happily and productively worked in Language Arts class. Time went by while we were working in journalism and first person point of view when school counselor, by the name of Kim Wright, stepped into class bearing bad news. Wright announced,” There will not be an eighth grade graduation due to budget cuts.” Many of the students were highly disappointed. All the students were upset yet astounded by this.
One girls specifically, named Adja Lemons, almost broke down in tears wearing a shocked look on her face. Mrs. Wright also suggested that we could do fundraisers, but the location for graduation would be roughly thousands of dollars; not to forget the cost of the bus too. The whole class stayed silent out of surprise and disappointment. After revealing the shocking news, the counselor left, leaving the students thinking of ways to get their 8th grade graduation back.
I can't believe this is your newscast! Very funny moment and the detail drove me crazy. 2 thumbs up :3
ReplyDeleteyour newscast was funny and really good details !!! I like how you put her real name instead of just Ms.Wright . Another thing was how you actually said the person name which was Adja instead of saying a student or a person almost broke down an tears......
ReplyDeleteI really like this newscast. It really portrays how the students felt and how desperate they are to get the graduation and field trip back. Few grammar errors, but overall well done!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a greatly detailed newscast. You told us exactly what happened and didn't leave out anything. Good work, Mikayla.
