Too Many Assignments

Its the first day of school and you’ ve just received your first assignment. You don’t worry though because the assignment is always the easiest. But its also the first assignment that begins stacks of papers upon papers of work. Students are just receiving too much work. This problem was brought up sometime ago and is now being shed some light on.

If you think otherwise, take a look at what this student went through at his school. In his first year of 7th grade, Beyden Mendieta Olive, a student at SLCS (now know as PCS) was already into his first month of school and is already falling behind in his work. He would come to school each day with a back full of papers, binders, and notebooks. Only half his assignments complete, and his teachers with with disappointed expressions. All because of all the work he receives each day. "Why do I have to do all this work to just show that I understand what was taught!" He yelled I frustration.

And this carried on till the end of the year when he found out that he failed! Causing him to repeat another 7th grade year. Yet nothing changed that year. It was still hard to keep up with his work, but somehow he made it. Currently he is nearing his second month of 8th grade, and he is falling behind yet again.

As you can see and hopefully understand, that this is only one example of students receiving too much work. This causes students to become stressed and have lots of worries. in some extreme cases, they start to grow gray hair and fall even more behind. This is a serious problem and needs to be confronted soon.

  1. In the second sentence you wrote 'with' twice but other than that the story is very true and great!
