A common theme in the home of Isabella and many other teens is the lack of excitement and even dread when it comes to homework. they put it off until the last minute and stay up late completing it, then they are exhausted the next day. Many have no choice but to put their homework off. Some have sports, Some have tutors, some have to watch their siblings or help around the house.
A great example of this happened Wednesday night Isabella’s mother called to her asking if she would like to go get something to eat. Isabella accepted the offer “Did you do your homework?” her mother asked. “Uh yes” she replied. Truthfully, she hadn’t even looked at her homework yet. She had cheer practice earlier and she was tired. The very thought of homework exhausted her. She later regretted her decision because when she finally did get around to doing her homework her mother came in. “you told me you finished that Isabella” her mother said. She was not happy to hear that Isabella had lied to her. “thats it. you cant go to Samantha’s house tomorrow. Isabella’s heart sunk. she really wanted to go to that sleepover. She may have been upset but she was more frustrated with the amount of homework she still had to complete.
