Khalisha speech

There are many teens who play violent video games, and it usually changes the way they behave. “Participants who have played a violent video game for only 35 minutes...behaved more aggressively than participants who played a nonviolent video game.” Teens who play violent video games will have a better chance of acting more aggressive or more violent.

Teens who engage in violent video games normally only think about think about themselves and don’t consider others. A recent study was taken with 47 undergraduates that have played mortal kombat:deadly alliance for 15min. They were tested to see if they behaved more aggressively by having them pour out hot sauce to a person who doesn’t eat spicy foods, and also had to swallow it. This shows that a person who has played a violent video game will act selfish by giving a person who doesn’t eat spicy foods more hot sauce, and a person who didn’t play a violent video game will act selfless by giving the person less hot sauce.

By playing these violent video games, kids and teens will have a better chance of acting rude or mean to their peer(s). “Some studies done in schools or elsewhere have found that it is the aggressive children who are most likely to be drawn to the games...they are self selected to be in more schoolyard conflicts” (carey,2013. p.1). When playing these games kids and teens will have a higher chance of getting into fights and behaving more rude to their peers.
While some may argue that or teen or kid would ever act more aggressive after playing a videogame, they may forget what research and studies prove. They prove that if you play violent video games you will most likely change your behavior for the worst, by either acting aggressive, mean or selfish.

Playing violent video games will change your behavior in a bad way.
