“Should Kids Play Violent Video Games?”

There have been multiple questions on whether kids should play violent video games such as GTA,Call of Duty,ect. I say kids should be allowed to play video games because they are not doing anything bad they are just doing something that distracts them from the real world.One important information in an article called “Do Games like Grand Theft Auto V cause real-world violence?” by Kain in 2013 it says on page2 “No study has ever shown that violent video games result directly in actual violence,let alone mass shooting.That doesn’t mean it isn’t possible ,though the numbers suggest it’s very unlikely.”This is significant because it would be unlikely to cause any real-world violence.Another, example from this article on page 5 states “We can drive through stop lights,mow over civilians,crash and die and start over,get in ridiculous gunfights and still walk on two feet.Or even just go shopping,or play golf,or hunt.We are given a vast canvas of possibilities,and the freedom to pretend to break in a cartoonish,outlandish,alternative reality."This is considered as escapism.Surprisingly this is just away to give kids,teens,adults something to do during their free time or when their mad or upset or when their just plain bored.This relates to me in some ways because when i’m mad I play video games just to get my mind of things and I have all the freedom in a video game than I do in the real-world.

In conclusion I think kids should be allowed to play violent video games like GTA V or Call of Duty and ect. because their not doing anything wrong.While some might argue violent video games should not be played.They forget that in the text it says it would be unlikely for violent video games to affect the real-world.This shows to many people that they can trust video games for their kids to play.Although it could be possible but then again it would be unlikely for any kid to go outin the real-world and do the things they see happening in a violent video game.So therefore kids should be allowed to play video games because our world is a lot more different from a video game and nothing from a video games happens in the real-world.Such as shootings and people being killed but that does not come from video games it comes from the peoples decision the fact is you’re children aren’t the ones doing it their just doing what a kid does.
