A Hobby: Leading to DISASTROUS Effects

On September 13th, 2014, at Saint Louis University’s Xavier Hall Walkway, two college students were skateboarding, scaling the pavement. Trying to get from one side to another, these college students used these skateboards to their benefit. Nevertheless, no one could predict the accident just waiting to happen.

Of the two college students, one was keenly watching the bumps in the pavement ahead of them and could swerve at the right times. One could not say the same for the other student. Being distracted, he could not see the unevenness in the sidewalk ahead of him and tripped and fell with the skateboard cascading behind him. Kdunk, Kdunk. Although this skateboarder was not injured, precautions can help prevent future accidents.

This skateboarder now carries his skateboard to and from classes, trying not to  repeat the disastrous event that  previously occurred. However, one cannot give up a hobby so easily. Old habits do leave their mark.

  1. This is really tragic for many skateboarders. I agree with you that there should be precautions made for the future. I really liked your blog because it made me want to read more. :)
