This reporter experienced this tough situation involving her mom, grandmother, aunts and unborn uncle, Adja was about nine or ten years old when she heard the story of why she never got to meet her grandmother on her moms side of the family. She was told that her grandmother was raped in a big building on the west side while pregnant with her unborn son. Her grandmother survived after being held down by ropes tied to tables just to rape her. Afterwards the same people who raped her, shot and killed her . No one out of five daughters had heard from her all day or the next. Two days later a man had came early in the morning beating on the door with a hat on his chest saying she was found shot and dead in a vacant building. The children were so sick. She was an very hard working woman and loved her children dearly. As of now Ad'ja would have a uncle by the name of DeAndre Covington but now on her grand mother’s gravestone it say 19-- through 1997 Carrolyn Anne Mack and DeAndre Covington.
Studies show that people think that this is a big problem and that it needs more attention especially in school with other children because it is a big problem in the world that students should know about along with other BIG issues in this world, students should know more about this issue and not just one or two issues so that they know if anything is going on around them. A lot of people are lazy and don’t want to learn about it but its major and THEY SHOULD.
