The Eighth Grader's News

In middle of September, in Ms. Crain’s class, Mr. Doyle walked into the classroom with  bad news.  He told the students in that class the school is having budget cuts, and the Eighth Grade Graduation is being cut.  This is the first time this has ever happened to the school.  How will the students react to this Teenage Crisis?

When the students first heard the bad news, they thought it was a joke.  However, as Mr. Doyle continued to explain to the the students what is happening, and why it’s happening, they are in shock of the terrible news.  This is when the questions start to roll in.

Mr. Doyle was just about finished explaining when he said would take questions, and nearly every student had at least one burning question for Mr. Doyle.  One of the students asked if it was because the new A/C.  Nine of our A/C units had been struck by lightning, and had to  to get replaced.  Mr. Doyle said that, this was not all of the cause of the budget cuts, but it certainly didn't help.  However, Mr. Doyle never did say all of the reasons why we had budget cuts.  Another student asked if anything else got cut, and that was when the news got from bad to worse.  Mr. Doyle said the Eighth Grade Six Flags trip also got cut.  Now all of the students were really mad, and had questions due to their frustration,  But, Mr. Doyle had to leave and brake the bad news to the other eighth grade classes.

  1. I'd say good job over all just forgot a few words here and there and could've used dialogue. I like your description and how you word your sentences. Good job!
