On Wednesday, September 10 at 0:30 a.m., the school administrator, K. Doyle came in C. Crain’s classroom while a class was in session. K. Doyle immediately announced that he just came from a meeting with other faculty and that it was realized that there won’t be enough money for the Six Flags trip or the 8th grade graduation.
The shock registered on the student’s faces. Some thought he was lying, but he looked completely serious. As he went on talking, the student’s began to believe him and the disappointment could be heard in their voices as they spoke. It was wondered why the school had bought other things, but hadn't worried about the possibility of budget cuts that could prevent the trip and graduation from happening, just like it did. ”This is a trick!”,one student called out. With a grave face, K. Doyle left claiming that he was going to G. Malley’s room next to tell them the disappointing news. The class was still in disbelief. The graduation was something everyone was looking forward to. They were to be the only eighth graders that didn’t get to celebrate their way out of PCS. Remember, always beware of how your school is spending money.
